I know all of us have cleaned with bleach to kill the germs. But try this, try Rubbing Alcohol, not only leave a shine but leaves good smell. Like Bleach it has that strong smell and I know you don't want the kids to smell that.. Try Rubbing Alcohol and you will see a difference. Rubbing Alcohol leaves a shine and kills germs but has minimal smell to it

I use rubbing alcohol for a lot of cleaning - it works great on any kind of glass or mirror. It shines chrome. I also use it to clean the inside of refrigerators. I agree the smell dissipates almost immediately. It's a great cleaning product and comparatively inexpensive. A little goes a long way.

Also, a mixture of 50 percent water and 50 percent white vinegar would do the trick. It is totally safe for kids, not poisonous at all (which rubbing alcohol is). It gives off a vinegar scent, but this will dissipate after 15 mins to half an hour. Cheaper than rubbing alcohol too!

My daughter was a micro-premie, and the home nurses used the vinegar and distilled water to disinfect her equipment.

you may also use vinegar for disinfect as well. it's also excellent for keeping the chrome shiny as well as a protecting it.
try to stay away from the chlorine I work at a hospital, they are always trying new products etc. all you are getting is high priced water with various dyes etc that will kill you. should you decide to use bleach on children's toy's etc please only use a teaspoon per gallon of hot boiling water. vinegar is also excellent for fast blood clean up. there is no better glass cleaner than rubbing alcohol and a micro cloth, however like one said it gets pricey. if you have problems with mirrors fogging in bathrooms and such wipe with rubbing alcohol it will slow this problem down for you. use hydrogen peroxide to clean all cutting boards get a spray nozzle and add to a peroxide bottle spray wood cutting board and watch it bubble as it's working killing those germs. email me @ cjerrysfish925@aol.com let me know how your cleaning is going. my name is Jerry and be happy to assist you with cleaning tips. dusting this is a no no they sell what is called swifter dusters. please hear me on this one when you dry dust what are you doing??? you are passing dust from one area of the home to another. Please wet dust dampen a rag again with vinegar yes it's wonders for almost everything and not a harmful chemical should you need to get hard to reach areas place and old sock around wood stick etc and attach the sock
