A great DIY leather cleaner for winter salt is boiling 1/2 cup of Linseed Oil and 1/2 cup of white vinegar. After boiling the mixture for 3-4 mins, let it cool down before using.

This cup of oil and vinegar will stay for a long time and be more than a years supply.

The vinegar is an acid and will neutralize the salt on the leather. The linseed oil is a natural oil that will moisten and rejuvenate the dry, dull leather.

Apply a bit of the mixture on a cotton swab pad. Use ample amounts to get rid of caked on road salt.

You will be amazed at how well it works and YOU made it yourself.
